GAPP: The German American Partnership Program

• GAPP is the name of our student exchange with the Max Hachenburg Schule in Mannheim, Germany.
• GAPP has been an important part of the AHS German program since 1987.
• The program is open to all current AHS German students, but we advise that students complete at least German III prior to our trip to Germany.
• Our next visit to Germany will take place in July of 2008.
• As in the past, our three-week visit to Germany is expected to cost $1,500.00 plus personal expenses (spending money, host family gift, passport, etc.).
• The next German visit to Aiken will take place in October or November of 2008.

Here are the dates of our German visit

Here are the dates of our German visit (one more time, folks!):

• June 30, 2008 (Sunday): Depart Atlanta, GA
• July 1, 2008 (Monday): Arrive Frankfurt, Germany. Meet host families. Begin program in Mannheim.
• July 7, 2008: train to youth hostel in Nuremberg
• July 8 – 10, 2008: youth hostel
• July 11, 2008: train back to Mannheim.
• July 22, 2008 (Tuesday): Return to Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA
