+ The Blood Drive will be Tuesday, March 9th. Anyone wanting to participate can sign up in C-1.

+ Underclassmen, have you ever wanted to be in the front of the student section without being pushed back by the senior class?? Seniors, don’t you want to leave your mark on Aiken High forever??? Well now here is your chance!!! National Art Honor Society is painting a mural of the AHS student section and wants you to be a part of it!! All next week in room E-6 form 3:15 to 3:30, National Art Honor society members will be selling spots in the mural. It is first come, first serve!! Spots are limited and range from 1-10 dollars. See Mr. Keltz or a National Art Honors Student for more information.

+ Applications and information about the school to work program are available in the guidance office. This program is at SRS and open to only rising seniors. Some of the occupational areas are accounting, business/office technology, computer technology, drafting, electrical, engineering and many more. If you are interested, stop by the guidance office.

+ Sophomore and Junior exec members are reminded to please turn in all money from candy sales by Wed. March 3rd.
+ There will be an event at Aiken Technical College called " Prom Preview 2010" sponsored by the Aiken Center and Aiken Technical College on March 12 at 5:00. Prom clothing, makeup and hair vendors will be there to help you pick your fashion for this year's prom. Mrs. Bates is looking for a junior and senior female and a senior male to model prom fashions. If you are interested please see Mrs. Bates by Tuesday March 2.
+ The “Cause for Applause” Talent Show will be Thursday, March 4th at 7pm in the new gym. Admission is $5. Come enjoy watching your fellow Hornets perform. There will be door prizes. The profits form this event will benefit the local Boys and Girls club.

+ The Serteen club will meet on today at 3:25 in NA-2. All members need to attend this important meeting. If you can not attend this meeting, you need to see Mrs. Orsini.

+ All FBLA members planning to attend the State Conference in Charleston needs to stop by Mrs. Moton’s room immediately.

+ Celebrate Teen Tech Week with your library. You don’t need to be a teen to participate. Students, faculty and staff are invited to complete a contest entry form telling us how you use technology to learn, share, and create. Turn in your entries at the library circulation desk and enter to win a shiny, new piece of technology. Entries will be accepted through March 11th. Winners will be announced on Friday, March 12th.

+ There will not be Boy’s Golf practice today. We will resume on Wednesday at 3:30 at Houndslake.

+ Today is the last day we will collect Parent Surveys. Please send surveys to Mrs. Learnard in the Main Office.
