• The Blood Drive will be Tuesday, March 9th. Anyone wanting to participate can sign up in C-1.


• Applications and information about the school to work program are available in the guidance office. This program is at SRS and open to only rising seniors. Some of the occupational areas are accounting, business/office technology, computer technology, drafting, electrical, engineering and many more. If you are interested, stop by the guidance office.


• Celebrate Teen Tech Week with your library. You don’t need to be a teen to participate. Students, faculty and staff are invited to complete a contest entry form telling us how you use technology to learn, share, and create. Turn in your entries at the library circulation desk and enter to win a shiny, new piece of technology. Entries will be accepted through March 11th. Winners will be announced on Friday, March 12th.


• Juniors: There are still spaces in the SAT workshop to be held March 12th. Cost is $30. Bring your money in immediately or the seats will be offered to students at other school. Sign up in Guidance immediately.


• A Jostens representative will return to Aiken High on Friday, April 16th from 8:00-3:00 to collect the balance due on your graduation products.


• Any junior girl interested in participating in the Junior Miss program, pick up a flier from Mrs. Keklak.
• FCCLA will meet in e-5 at 3:20 on Tuesday, March 9th. All members must attend.


• The National Technical Honor Society will meet in F-3 on Wednesday, March 10th during homeroom. All members must attend.


• Thursday night the “A Cause for Applause” Talent Show was held. The third place winner was Emilee Pruett, the second place winner was Lydia Brooks, and first place went to Quintin Roland. The Serteen Club would like to thank the participants, those who attended the show, and the faculty for their support in this program.


• The Serteen Club will have a brief meeting on Tuesday, March 9th in NA-2. All members need to attend to sign up for service projects.
