- Coach Tillotson’s 1st period anatomy class bring your books to class on Friday.
- Congratulations to the following Period 2 students who adapted to using non-opposable thumbs to button a shirt. 1st place: Valerie Gutman, 2nd place: Emmy Hardy, 3rd place Rachel Perlans, 4th place: Nikki Demass. Period 3 will challenge you today.
- Congratulations to all JROTC cadets to the Aiken HS unit has been selected as a “Distinguished Unit” for the second year in a row. This is the highest award that can be given to a JROTC High School program.
- All ROTC cadets are reminded to report to the Old Gym in uniform tomorrow from first through third periods for the award ceremony.
- Attention Sophomores: Anyone interested in running for a Junior Class office next year needs to see Mrs. Osteen in B-5 as soon as possible.
- Attention National Technical Honor Society Seniors! Don’t forget to order your NTHS Stole for Graduation. Bring your $22 to Mrs. Gorthy no later than May 1st to reserve your stole.
- Attention Mrs. Hall’s students the Belk Fundraiser money and any unsold tickets are due to Mrs. Hall today, don’t forget. You do not want a report card or diploma hold.
- Attention girls and boys basketball players: The basketball banquet will be held Wednesday, April 29th in the cafeteria at 6:30.
- There will be a FBLA meeting today in room A-5 at 3:25. All members need to be in attendance.
- Attention new inductees of Delta Epsilon, Phi, the National German Honor Society. There will be two brief important meeting, one this Friday, 4/24 immediately after school, and one Monday, 4/27, also immediately after school. Choose one meeting to attend, but make sure to attend. These are very important meetings to prepare for our induction on Tuesday, 4/28.
- There will be a key club meeting in Mrs. Robinson’s room, B-12, immediately after school today. This meeting is especially important for seniors. Please plan to attend.
- Attention All Seniors: There will be a special homeroom on Wednesday, April 29th for seniors to fill out final transcript requests and scholarship information. Please come prepared with the address of the college you want the guidance office to send your final transcript to. Also bring with you all scholarship offers and the amount of money offered to you. This includes all schools that you applied to and were accepted. This is needed for the senior Award’s Day program. Deadline for you name and scholarship to be put in the program is May 6th. This is a very important homeroom for you to attend. Please make every effort to have all information you will need for this meeting.
- If you can’t wait to see what this year’s yearbook looks like, come to our 4th annual distribution party on May 8th at 5:00pm. For only three dollars, you will get food, drink, and your yearbook delivered early! Buy tickets at 1st and 2nd lunch in the main cafeteria or in Ms. Pataro’s room B-13.
- Petitions for Senior class offices for 2009-2010 may be picked up in room A-1 or A-4 April 15th-22nd.
- Attention GAPP hosts! If you have any cool pictures from the German visit this Spring, please send them to Ms. Ligon or give them to Katherine Weigle. We are looking for a few good pictures for the Hornet Herald.
