Moodle: How to Create a Web Page

Creating a web page with formatted text and links is easy in Moodle:

 


 

1. Log in as usual.

 2. Enter the course.

3. Enable editing.

4. From the resource menue, choose Compose a web page:

 5. A form appears. Give your web page a name (red arrow) and a summary or a brief description (green arrow):

 6. In the Full text area, add your content:

 7. Formatting your text is simple. For example, to make text bold, highlight the text you want to format and click on the bold button:

 8. To italicize text, highlight the text you wish to format and click on the italics button. Follow a similar procedure to format in additional ways. Experiment a bit to see how the various formatting options work:

 9. To make a hyperlink, highlight the text you want to make clickable and click on the hyperlink button:

 10. Enter the URL of the remote site you want to link to and click the OK button. Do not forget the http:// part of the URL:

 11. Scroll down to the bottom of the form and click the Save changes button:

 12. And there's your new web page. :-)
