Therefore, cell phones should be left in the student's vehicle or placed in their locker at the beginning of the school day. The phone can be retrieved after 3:15 from the locker to be used for after-school activities and other needs.

Congratulations to the girls varsity basketball team for defeating White Knoll 47 to 22.
Project Graduation is meeting now
Project Graduation is an all-night drug-and alcohol-free celebration and allows parents to rest easy that night knowing their sons and daughters are in a safe environment. The committee members are meeting now to raise funds and plan the evening, which typically sees several hundred Aiken area students.

Congratulations to the NJROTC Rifle team. On Saturday, they decisively won the Regional Championships and now move on to the North and South Carolina State Championships in two weeks. Bradley Wilkes received a medal for coming in first place of all scorers.
H1N1 vaccine to be administered at Aiken High in January
The H1N1 vaccination is scheduled to be administered at Aiken High on January 19, 2010.

The Volleyball banquet is scheduled for Wed. Jan. 13th at Newberry Hall at 6pm. All volleyball players need to let Coach Young know how many will be attending from your family immediately.

There will be mandatory FBLA meeting Thursday, Jan. 10th at 3:20pm. In room A-1 Mrs. Moton’s room. We will be taking our group pictures for the yearbook. There will not be a make up day. All members need to be present if you plan to be in the group picture.

Miss AHS contestants are reminded to meet with Mrs. Keklak Wednesday after school briefly to turn in ad money. Make sure checks have 2 phone numbers on them and at least 1 page of ads is completed. Contestants will also be meeting at Lista’s Wednesday evening for photo's.

There will be a meeting for anyone interested in playing on the Aiken High Men’s Tennis team on Thursday, January 7th in Coach Smith’s room, NA-12 at 3:20pm. Anyone planning to try out this year must attend this meeting.

Congratulations to Sara Ledbetter, Mr. Michael Fulmer and Mrs. Ida Harbison. These three readers each won a singing teddy bear in the library’s holiday contest. Winners were chosen by Army Sgt. First Class Awkward, during his visit to the library.
